Code of Conduct

We are committed at NYC FurMeets to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. These rules assist in ensuring this. By being part of our events or our chats, you automatically agree to the rules.

These rules are subject to change without notice.

  1. As an event under NYFurs, attendees of NYC FurMeets are subject to the rules outlined in their terms of service and online rules. You can find those rules here: NYFurs Terms of Service  /  NYFurs Online Rules (Discord, Telegram)

  2. Consent is sexy. Do not touch any individual without their expressed permission, regardless of whether they're in suit or not.

  3. Keep personal drama outside of official chats. If there is a credible safety risk to yourself, or others, please notify staff or the proper authorities immediately.

  4. Staff are not responsible for your belongings under any circumstance. Bring valuables at your own risk. In addition, please come prepared to an event. Bring necessary clothing and items.

  5. Keep political talk to a minimum. While local advocacy is permitted, debate that leads to hostility is not and will be shut down promptly.

  6. We do not condone any act that is deemed illegal by law. There shall not be any discussion of, or participation, in any such activities. Members found to be engaging in illegal activities will be reported to proper authorities.

  7. Payment for events are required during registration unless otherwise specified.

  8. Many events take place in a shared public space. Please practice common sense and do not disturb the general public. Fursuiters must be aware of their surroundings at all times or use a spotter.

  9. Please do not complain, or report about the weather, in regards to events. @ThatCuteMacaw, @tourenfops and @Phantasia are the only people allowed to report on the weather for events using accurate available data.

  10. Unless otherwise stated, all NYCFM events are SFW. Clothing, attire, and accessories should be suitable for all-ages public spaces. Forbidden articles include, but are not limited to, those depicting gore, revealing sensitive areas, and kink gear (collars are permitted, but no leashes).

  11. By attending our events, you understand that photo, video, and audio recording may take place. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please let photographers know.

  12. Weapons are strictly prohibited at any event.

  13. Staff have the right to refuse service, or remove a member from events / official chats, at any time without reason.
